AI rival · default level 6 (adjustable 1–10)
Rin
“Rush” · Rapid attacks
Blink and it's over.
Rin, “Rush”, has no patience for slow castles. She wants pieces traded and lines opened before either king is safe, and she spends little effort on her own defense.
How Rin plays
In the opening, Rin's AI values every piece that lands in a player's hand, so exchanges look good to her, and for about the first 20 moves each she gives captures an extra push. Her attack counts for more than normal, her defense for a little less.
Her default level is 6, adjustable 1–10.
How to beat Rin
Survive the first twenty moves. Castle simply and quickly, keep your pieces protected and keep your bishop safe; an open diagonal with the silver gone from 7i is a classic early loss. Count every exchange she offers and capture with your cheapest piece. After the rush, her castle is usually lighter than yours.
What she teaches you
Opening safety and trade arithmetic: which exchanges are fair, and how fast a loose piece is punished.
Tips
- As Black, keep the silver on 7i until your bishop is safe.
- Count every exchange and capture with your cheapest piece first.
- Pick a quick castle like the Mino or Boat castle; a long build gives her time.
What Rin says
- “No slow castles. Let's fight now!”
- “Faster!”
- “Too fast for you!”
- “You survived the rush. Nice.”
FAQ
What level is Rin?

Why does Rin trade so much?
Her AI rewards pieces in hand early, so trades and captures look attractive to her. Each trade gives you pieces too, which a safe king lets you use.
